Christmas Ended Up Being Great

Well I was really having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit this year for some reason. I think a large part of it was the year went by too fast and then we were moving and trying to get settled a few weeks before. Christmas Eve I was kinda worried about being alone since Chad had to work. Christmas Eve is always a big night in my family. We go to both Grandparents house, eat lots of good food and have some great family time. It is hard when my family is 3 hours away, just not a hop, skip and a jump. :( I went to Christmas Eve mass and it was so beautiful! They had trumpets players and the music was awesome. I felt a little emotional and I know I had tears in my eyes at times but I am SO glad I went.

Christmas day my mother in law came over and we made dinner together. I really enjoyed that, spending some good quality time with her. The rest of the day was nothing but rest and relaxation. Which is exactly what I wanted. Saturday we had Chad's sister, husband and our beautiful niece Maddy here. They live in Chicago but hopefully will be moving back as soon as they can. We really miss them. It was a great visit, we played some games, had a nice dinner and then opened some gifts. I made a breakfast casserole this am and they left a little after 10AM to head back to Chicago. It was sad, I know Chad was really sad he misses them. I could not look at him when he came back into the house after saying goodbye because I knew I would see tears in his eyes. I loves watching Maddy open her gifts. Her facial expressions are so cute and she is SO animated when she talks. One of the best parts was when we turned on some music and she danced and danced. I don't think I have smiled or laughed that much in a long while. It was so darn cute!I will have to post some pics.

One other thing that made my Christmas happy was the + OPK I had on Christmas Eve morning. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we are blessed with a baby soon. Trying to conceive is not an easy thing.

Thanks for reading.....:)

FINALLY! We moved in..........

We are finally in our new home. It has been a long road with lots of stress and worries but that has all paid off. I can't even explain how happy I am.Here is our foyer area where my old tree is since it looked too small in the great room.
Our beautiful great room. It is SO warm and cozy.

I love my kitchen!

We have worked very hard to get where we are today. Neither one of us have owned a home. This feels so good!

Christmas Photos

I decided to send out a photo Christmas card this year. After my work party I made my husband pose with me for my pics. Oh yeah and the cat in one anyway. It was fun but after about 10 shots my husband was done. Plus I was tired of running back and forth to set the timer. We ended up using the first one below.

The week is almost half over......

So glad tomorrow is hump day. I'm ready for the weekend. Looking forward to watching the OSU/Michigan game. GO BUCKS! We may do some more painting, trying to get as much done as possible before we move in.

The builder told my husband the house should be done by Thanksgiving, Not sure if that meant the house and the final inspections? That would be great! I'm ready to have my own space and get settled. So tired of living out of totes, boxes and not knowing where anything is.

We bought all of our kitchen appliances this past Sunday and they are being delivered next Tuesday! Yay! I can't wait to see how awesome they look in our kitchen. I don't think it has truely sunk in yet that this is our house. Still seems like a dream. :o) Oh well I'm off to call my Grandpa and wish him Happy Birthday.

Few Updates of the House

I took these pictures with my cell phone. I have no idea where I packed my camera charger and of course now the battery is dead. Ugh! Oh well thank goodness for cell phones with cameras. We just loved the stone in the model we saw. It runs from the floor to the ceiling.

We have some on the front of the house. It really adds a nice touch instead of all siding.

We have one pillar on the front porch.

I am so behind...

Wow I have not updated my blog in a long time. Well things have been busy and a little hectic the past few months, that could be why. The house is coming along and the last we heard is it will be done by Thanksgiving. Yay! We have been living in the loft at mother in laws for a little over a month now and are ready for our own space again. I am ready to be organized and not live out of boxes. It will be so nice when I can find something I am looking for. I hope the next two weeks go by quickly. We are staying busy, painting, shopping for appliances, etc. That definitely helps pass the time. One thing that is driving me crazy is I cannot find the charger for my digital camera and the battery is dead. Ugh! You think I would have packed that with my things I brought to the loft. Nope! Can't find it anywhere. Dammit I want to take and upload some more pics.

Last night I was able meet some more nesties. I had a great time. We had a TTC happy hour at Champps. I had some very yummy onion soup and a graden salad. We chit chat on the nestie website everyday but it was nice to see each other in person. Can't wait to do it again and meet some others. So happy it is Friday! I am ready for the weekend!

Spending time with family...........

My husband worked a double yesterday but I had my mom, sister and niece over for a cookout. They had not seen the house yet so we took a ride out to the country to see it. We had to take a few pics especially the beautiful sunset above. This is what you would see from the front door and windows. Once we got back into town we took a walk. It was such an awesome night, the air was cool and crisp. I had such an awesome weekend!

Great Labor Day Weekend!

My mom Judy, Sarah, Jayda and Me

I decided it would be nice to take my mom, sister and niece Jayda to Biddie's Coach House for a Vctorian Tea. We went on Saturday August 30th at 11:00am. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. I just love spending time with my family. This was such an awesome way to do it. After our tea we went to a little shop next door. It was so adorable and they sold the most unique things

Long Weekend Part Two

The race was in Brooklyn Michigan, we stayed in the hotel in Ann Arbor. That was kinda painful but we tried not to think about it and remembered that Ann Arbor is a whore. Go Buckeyes! Here is Mark and Chad getting the cooler ready! Woo hoo it's beer thirty all day at the Nascar Race. I really did not know what to expect. This was my first race ever. We had so much fun. Lots of good people watching and nice cold cooler beer.
One thing I did NOT expect to see was an IV pole and some woman getting an infusion prior to the race. Now you know you are a die hard Nascar fan when you come with your IV. Lol!

Here is one of many example of the peeps at the race. I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted. I call this W.T. (White Trash)

We walked around before the race. There was so much to see. There were all kinds of free offers and seeing all the different race trailers was cool.

Mark and Tammie

Chad and Natalie

So many people!

Here I am listening to the pit crew and the drivers talking.

Picture of the track before the race. Empty now but soon to be a full house.

When the cars came by they were so loud. As they go around the turns tire debris gets on your clothes and skin. Just little pieces, kinda like the size of pepper.

My husband Chad listening to the drivers and pit crew.

Michigan sucks!!
OH---IO
Go Bucks!

Our Long Weekend--Part One

We had a nice long weekend which started out with 3 nights at a cottage in Huron OH.We walked across a very rocky path to get to this lighthouse.

The scenery was beautiful.

This was the full moon that Saturday night we were fishing off the dock.

This is what you saw from the deck at the cottage.

Beautiful sunrise the morning we left. Next off to Michigan for the Nascar race! Yipee!

Awwww beautiful. Part two coming soon.
